Come as you are
to the Open Space

Twice a week, no commitment
Nature | Craft | Shared meal
Tuesdays 16:00–21:00 · Wednesdays 09:30–15:00 · Free of charge

For reservists and security forces personnel

After long reserve duty, or in the period between rounds, it is not always clear where to put down what remains. Home goes on, work goes on, and from the outside everything functions. But sometimes you need a different place, with no forms and no commitment, where you simply show up.

The Open Space at Kfar Sarah is exactly that place. Twice a week the village is open to reservists, recently discharged soldiers and security forces personnel. Come when it suits you, work with your hands, eat together and meet people who understand without explanations.

Here at the Aaronsohn Farm in Atlit, we hold two regular meetings a week: Closing the Day with Jordi on Tuesday afternoons, and Morning at Kfar Sarah on Mondays. You can come to one, to both, or every now and then. Just message us on WhatsApp first, as places are limited.

What awaits you at Kfar Sarah?

Closing the Day with Jordi

Every Tuesday, 16:00–21:00.
Coffee, yoga, a campfire
and a shared dinner.

A professional team in the background

Kfar Sarah's multidisciplinary team
is quietly here. There is someone to talk to
and someone to turn to.

Morning at Kfar Sarah

Every Monday, 09:30–15:00.
Boxing training, a carpentry workshop
and a shared lunch.

Working with nature and materials

Gardening, carpentry and handwork
in the open air. The hands work,
the mind calms down.

A group of equals

People who have been through similar things
and understand without explanations. You can talk,
or you can simply be.

Eating together

Every meeting includes a shared meal.
We cook, sit down and eat together :)
always with herbs from the village garden.

About Kfar Sarah

Kfar Sarah is a space for guidance and growth for security forces personnel and their families in a natural setting, through a connection between people and land that lets them experience the very best and opens a new chance for a full and meaningful life.
The village is intended for women and men alike who, during their military or security service, were exposed to threatening, dangerous or traumatic events, sights and experiences.

The village's programs are built on four cornerstones:
The group: a shared experience of belonging and mutual recognition, in which trust is built and a sense of togetherness grows stronger.
The body: body-mind work and trauma-sensitive yoga, which help reconnect with sensations, attune and regulate, and restore a sense of control and safety.
Productivity: carpentry, wood carving, mosaic and gardening, ending in a tangible product and an experience of capability, choice, persistence and completing a process.
Nature: time among trees and earth, in a quiet and protected space, connecting participants to growth and to the cycles of life.
Together with an experienced professional team that combines short-term therapeutic methods, participants receive a unique and beneficial experience.
The village is located at the Aaronsohn Farm, Atlit (directions).
